     How is learning achieved using the Suzuki Piano Method?

  • Muscular skills are learned by sight, and the ear develops by sound in the right hemisphere of the brain. Reading prior to this development or using cognitive knowledge too soon diminishes the function of the right side of the brain to learn by ear.
  • The natural process for learning our native tongue is to speak fluently before learning to read. When applied to music, the same results occur.

     How much practice is expected?

  • Listening to the CDs are required as much as possible each day and/or all night during sleep. The more you listen, the faster you can learn. Consistent practice each day, as long as is appropriate for the age and level, is necessary to produce the results you want. Class observation greatly increases the learning speed in children and adults.

     What is studio policy?
